The magnificent blue sky of Athens enchants everyone. The heaven becomes blue  as we move away from the winter. The center of Athens that is the Syntagma Square dominates and historic buildings exist around it. Tens of hundreds of Greek and foreign tourists children and adults gather in front of the monument of the Unknown Soldier to attend the spectacular ceremony Guard of the Republic .. Just ahead majestically stands the National Parliament, former palace of the kings of Greece. The system of Government of Greece is a Presidential Parliamentary Democracy. Chief is the President who is elected by the Parliament for five years, but its power is limited. He gives the mandate to form the government and appoint the prime minister. The President represents the country abroad.
Syntagma Square is the city s hub. Here stop hundreds of tour buses and passengers take photographs. In the subway lines intersect to and from the airport, the Acropolis, to the west or north and south suburbs with end Piraeus port. From this square starts the tram to the southeast suburbs.
In two steps is the Acropolis and from here starts a large network of magnificent museums.
Syntagma Square could be called Republic Square or Square of political and peaceful  rallies of the Greek People for democracy and peace.
