MAIN RAILWAY GATE "LARISSIS" TO AND FROM ATHENS

A train station is a significant touching point for travelers, Athenian citizens and neighbors .. We cannot say that Greece has striking and busy railway stations.. Apart from the new suburban .. The railroads were always delayed to be modernized in Greece .. This country has this default .. The stations tell their own history, that is separation, sentiments of pain, immigration, the thrill of returning, the joy for excursions, spare of money, patience and the suspense of the waiting.
Central Railway Station of Athens or "Larissis Station" was inaugurated on March 8, 1904 and January 28, 2000 the Larissa Metro Station. Located at Theodorou Diligianni & Domokos streets. Very close to the City of Athens Municipal Library. Since then many things have passed by..
So happens Athens visitors who come from the north of the country have chosen to stay at the http://www.nestoriohotel.gr, Pentelis 8, Paleo Faliro. Sometimes guests of the hotel wish to visit by rail Halkida or ancient Corinth. These two towns are both great one-day excursion and they can combine sightseeing of attractions, monuments, museums and swimming in summer. From the hotel travelers can take the bus 550 or B2 for Metro Station and from there the metro line 2 to Larissa metro station. https://goo.gl/maps/atEKnk4qkuq see map.
